Holy Week – Monday

During Holy Week there is a little venture going on in New Kilpatrick Church exploring the story of Holy Week through art in a variety of forms.  I will be posting some of them on this blog to give you a taster and maybe encourage you to go along and see them for yourselves.

The church is open every day from 9am till 4.30 and then again in the evening from 6.30pm till 8.30pm.

Local school children all made their own crosses for Holy Week and then they were put together into one larger cross.

As well as these daily offering we also have some fabulous work by professional artists like this stunning piece by Jane McCance.

I will post more things as the week progresses, but I wont be posting everything so if you are in the area please pop in and see for yourself all that is on offer.  Sit and think, say a prayer, or maybe join in creating one of the interactive pieces like stretching raw silk.
