The Gilles Villeneuve Circuit in Canada saw the usual excitement, the champions’ wall again played its part and those marbles from the tires were obviously in danger of becoming a major safety hazard. Yet again however it was the antics of the two Schumacher brothers that marked the day.
What was Ralf playing at? He reminded me of the Sunday afternoon drivers down country lanes doing 20 miles an hour and getting in the way of everyone else who was trying to do the speed limit! He obviously had a problem with the car and yet kept pootling around the circuit only coming off after he had actually caused an accident.
And in my book, at least, Michael was totally out of order in the time he took to get back onto the grid after the parade lap. There has been quite a bit of that over this past season, maybe it is time they looked at penalising such behaviour.
Having said all that it was a far more enjoyable and entertaining race than Silverstone was.
