Religion

There is in God (some say)
a deep, but dazzling darkness; as men here
say it is late and dusky, because they
see not all clear;
O for that night! where I in him
might live invisible and dim.

Henry Vaughan

In this poem Vaughan explores the night encounter of Nicodemus and Jesus, I love the honesty of the final lines.  ‘O for that night! where I in him might live invisible and dim.’  To rest in what we don’t know, what we haven’t yet grasped and for that to be perfectly okay.
