Was Francis Right?

Well there were indeed many joyous meetings, with those I knew, those I met for the first time and those who I already knew but hadn’t previously spent a lot of time with.  The temptation was there, the feet were willingly but we didn’t quite manage to get from the bar in enough time after the Synod Dinner to go dancing!

This Synod also had more than its fair share of joyful moments, so I guess using Francis Bacon’s criteria it was a General Synod to promote Good Life.  Which of course would mean that those who said, and those who quoted, the fact that we might end up being stuffed, stand a good chance of being proved wrong!
