Saint Peter And Saint Paul

Today the Church celebrates the feast of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, two very different people who saw things in very different lights. Peter is often referred to as the apostle to the Jews and Paul as the apostle to the Gentiles, two different groups in the church of New Testament times who saw things in different ways because of their own lives and experiences. Does that sound familiar?
There is an icon of the two saints that should make us all stop and think; it is of both Peter and Paul, together, holding up the church. Yes they had their disagreements, yes they never fully resolved them, but they didn’t let their disagreements lead to disunity, they remained united in faith.
