Diocesan Council

Saturday saw Diocesan Council in the type of church hall that puts people off going to church. Within 5 minutes our feet were going numb from the cold and those who were trying to take notes will probably have a great deal of trouble deciphering the shaky hand writing. If only some of the heat of the debate that has ensued from that meeting had been present at it, not only to heat the room up but also so that issues could be discussed. There has been a great deal of debate about one of the topics that was touched upon on Kelvin’s blog and indeed these things need to be discussed, which is why I am left with a question whizzing around my head. Why was the discussion quashed at the council meeting, by someone who was instrumental in the decison in question saying, “Can you just put that in writing and send it to the committee”?
